Arriving at Pernem station I found an older Italian couple to share a cab with and we headed to Arombol...Upon arriving I set out to find the restaurant where Babu works and after 10 minutes I found it right near the internet place. he recognized me and went to get my passport. It was there and looks like all the pages are intact. So hard part is done time to relax.
I found a hut on a cliff for 100rupees, around $2.30 and made it my home. I met two girls who were my neighbors and we decided to have dinner together. It was the second night of passover and I ordered a bottle of wine and told them I would have to retell the story of the Exodus from Egypt.
I started with baby Moses in a basket, then his 'vision', which made me wonder if we drink 4 cups of wine to remember what Moses did before he had a lengthy conversation with a bush that was on fire. We also dipper out fingers into the wine and onto a napkin 10 times, and drank atleast one cup while reclining. All in all a good seder with live music....
Most of the rest of my time here has been spent swimming, reading and walking. The ocean is great and there are often beautiful birds circling over head. A couple friends saw dolphins swimming in the ocean in the early morning but I have not been so lucky...
Tomorrow I take a 10 hr train to Mumbai, and then off to some cave temples the following day...
